Airis' Kira 740 Eee lookalike

French site MobileHub has gotten its hands on another Eee competitor rip-off -- the Airis' Kira 740 (aka, Kira 100) -- and has given it the rundown. The initial impressions are about what you'd expect, besides coming with XP onboard, having 1GB of memory, a VIA C7 1GHz CPU, and a traditional 40GB hard drive, the mini-laptop is almost identical to ASUS' entry. The screen resolution is the same 800 x 480, the keyboard is apparently a shot-for-shot remake, and it features familiar ethernet and WiFi networking options. You can see in the photo above that there are some minor physical differences, though in our opinion they've somehow managed to ugly it up + 30 percent. For €299 (or around $466) you can get yourself a Kira 740 sometime soon.

Well, that is expected to every gadget coming out every now and then... there's always a competition in every creation that makes a hit to the users.

Lenovo's IdeaPad U110 is now available

Just as expected, Lenovo has updated its webstore with the shiny new IdeaPad U110. The 11.1-inch ultraportable is available for customizing right now in black or red, and both hues start at $1,899. Currently, the red variant touts a 3- to 5-day wait before shipment occurs, while the black model isn't likely to head your way for 2- to 3-weeks. Of course, Lenovo may be padding those figures a touch, but there's your worst-case scenarios, anyway. Your route to being nearly two grand poorer starts at the read link below.

Ohhh... I don't wanna be two grand poorer by just having this lenovo's IdeaPad U110 shipped to me. I can still wait until it is available locally.

Unknown Fujitsu LifeBook tablet

It looks like Fujitsu has itself a new tablet in the cooker. This here LifeBook Tablet PC was spotted recently in Germany, and is running one of those super-small P-series processors from Intel, the Core 2 Duo P8400. The laptop sports a 13.3-inch passive digitizer display and an all-new look from Fujitsu -- which we're a little meh about, to tell you the truth. No word if this is a replacement for Fujitsu's storied T2010 tablets, or something completely different, but we don't expect to be in the dark long...

Yeah, we don't expect to be in the dark long, because every gadget will become obsolete in a matter of months now.

MacBook Air still have overheating problems?

We're still hearing reports of MacBook Air overheating woe, well after an EFI update in April that was meant to address some of those problems. While hot computers are nothing new, the MacBook Air starts shutting down cores and offloading processes when things get bad, which means users are faced with aggravating stop-start freezing until they can manage to cool the computer off -- or just put it to sleep and let it "rest." Apparently some people have traced this back to the age-old misapplied thermal grease problem, but that's hardly a solace for the average consumer trying to convince Apple to fix this thing for them.

Hmmm... They should overcome with this problem because I really love the Macbook and this kind of problem will make us macbook lovers back-off and switch to another brand.
